Claudia Naraina is a healthcare professional from Manchester. She is passionate about conservation, loves scuba diving and graduated from the Connect Chagos Project in 2015.
Claudia used her skills in conservation during the 2015 research expedition by participating in a series of coral reef underwater surveys. She relished the opportunity to expand upon her skills and gained more experience in these different facets within conservation.
In 2016 Claudia was invited to attend the Big Ocean Think Tank on the integration of human dimensions in large-scale marine reserve management and represented her community. She hopes to continue learning and connecting Chagossian people in the UK and overseas with their natural heritage.
